Why
We're
Doing This
|
Showcases
are
an interesting blend
of performance and marketing. When done right, the experience is
exciting for the actors and inspiring for the industry professionals in
attendance. Correctly cast actors in
innovative, original scenes are a
pleasure to watch. And with each actor's marketing materials in top
shape, you'll know you're connecting with true professionals. If
you're a casting director, that means you can consider an excellent
showcase your first preread of actors you'll eventually cast. If you're
an agent or manager, that means you are seeing actors who are ready to
join your roster and score you some commission dollars.
Of course, you don't have to love every actor you see in our showcase.
But we suspect that you will. At the very least, you'll have an hour of
laughs bookended by sparkling cocktails and yummy munchies, during
which
you can catch up with that colleague you only ever seem to speak to on
the phone. We'll send you out with a comprehensive program, a packet of
actors' headshots and resumés, and a DVD compilation of
participants'
demo reels.
You're busy. You like to laugh. You enjoy evaluating the work of
talented actors who know exactly how the industry sees them. You won't
see "the same old stuff" you've seen in a zillion other showcases. And
you won't see character actors trying to convince you they're romantic
leads. In just over an hour, you'll enjoy a fast-paced, professionally
directed, comedic showcase of 42 carefully
screened and
appropriately cast actors.
Did we mention that we've chosen a location where free parking
is a breeze?
Awesome, right? Yeah. We thought so too. |
